Position

Title: Project Manager

Working time: 32–40 hours per week

Location: Leiden / Delft (hybrid, preferably on site)

Contract type: Secondment / Freelance

About the role

You will contribute from a Dutch perspective to accelerating the transition towards decarbonization of the aviation sector. You will support and help shape national and international strategic initiatives and roadmaps (e.g. Flying Vision Accelerator, SAF-related roadmaps), working with industry partners, knowledge institutes and government to translate technology, market and policy insights into concrete actions, roadmaps and communication outputs. You will be part of the Tech Hub NL team, contributing to long-term vision development, multi-stakeholder collaboration and innovation programs.

Responsibilities

• Support coordination and execution of strategic programs and roadmapping activities related to sustainable aviation and the energy transition
• Translate market insights, technological developments and policy trends (e.g. SAF, operations, infrastructure) into clear conclusions, actions and next steps
• Support development, structuring and maintenance of visions and roadmaps for policymakers
• Prepare and support interactive workshops, think tanks and deep dives using methods such as design thinking, agile and scrum
• Contribute to stakeholder management, aligning interests of industry partners, knowledge institutes and governmental bodies
• Support communication and positioning of outcomes, including presentations, publications and input for external communication
• Consolidate multiple insights and perspectives into coherent and well-supported strategic outputs

Your profile

• Structured, curious and proactive, comfortable working in complex environments where technology, policy and collaboration intersect
• Background in project management, business development or a related field (2–3 years preferred; starters allowed)
• Background in industrial design engineering
• Experience, knowledge or strong interest in sustainable aviation, SAF, energy transition or aerospace innovation
• Strong organizational and analytical skills; ability to translate complex information into clear insights and actionable next steps
• Affinity with facilitating co-creation sessions and workshops
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills; team-oriented mindset and ability to work with diverse disciplines
• Ability to convince and engage others; excellent communication skills, including interest in storytelling, marketing and communication approaches
• Preferably Dutch-speaking
• Located in the Netherlands or willing to work from the Netherlands
