UAT Test Analyst – Contract

We are seeking an experienced Test Analyst with 5+ years’ experience in the insurance and/or financial services sector to support the planning and execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) across multiple applications and solutions for an international IT programme. This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility to work from home and attend the office when required. Occasional travel within Europe may be required.

What you will do

• Test Design & UAT Support
  • Review and analyse the test basis (requirements, user stories, user flows, data models, specifications) for testability.
  • Derive test conditions, test cases and test scenarios from the agreed test basis.
  • Perform test analysis for multiple applications and solutions in parallel, ensuring end‑to‑end coverage and consistency.
  • Contribute to the design and maintenance of test plans, test procedures and supporting processes aligned with programme goals.
  • Support UAT activities by working with UAT Test Managers and coordinating with cross‑functional business teams.
• Ways of Working & Test Practices
  • Work effectively within both agile and waterfall delivery methodologies, adapting approach to project governance.
  • Operate pragmatically in a dynamic programme environment where plans may pivot frequently.
  • Promote good practice in test analysis and design, test execution and defect management across business testing teams.
• Support to Business SME Testing Teams
  • Support and motivate country‑aligned business SME testing teams to deliver effective testing aligned to business needs.
  • Provide mentoring, guidance and training to business SMEs to promote good practice and continuous improvement; occasional in‑person support and travel within EMEA may be required.
• Tools & Test Enablement
  • Use appropriate testing tools and technologies to support test execution and defect management.
  • Contribute to implementation and adoption of tools or upgrades to enhance testing capabilities.
• Reporting & Stakeholder Communication
  • Prepare and deliver clear, concise and accurate test progress updates for Business Test Lead, UAT Managers and other stakeholders.
  • Be willing to travel within Europe on an infrequent basis to support key meetings or testing activities.

Skills and experience

• 5+ years’ experience in test execution or related testing roles within the insurance or financial services industry.
• Strong experience in User Acceptance Test phases, coaching and guiding Business SMEs to conduct structured testing.
• Proven expertise executing tests within both agile and waterfall delivery methodologies.
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to motivate and support global business teams under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with inexperienced business test teams and technical SMEs.
• ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (or equivalent).
• Self‑motivated and able to deliver assigned work with minimal supervision.
• Fluent in English; additional fluency in Dutch, French, German or Spanish is an advantage. (Location can be NL, FR, BE, SP)
• Excellent written skills for authoring and reviewing test artefacts and documentation.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, global environment.
